Steve, this is your second season in the Fun Cup. It’s a team sport, but you came into it as an individual. How did that work out for you? |
A: |
I’ve always wanted to go racing, so when I saw this formula at the Autosport show I got in touch with the organisers and they can actually put a driver in a team and make up a team from individuals applying. |

The Fun Cup is all about motor racing fun, but it’s also designed for good exposure of corporations in search of sponsorship. How has that helped you? |
A: |
The TV coverage we get helps a lot. We get in touch with firms when you’re searching for sponsors. We’re lucky this year to get Continental Contitech, they are the power train division of Continental, so they were interested in a way that if he puts one advert in a magazine for 1 issue it’s going to cost him ?1000, do it this way he gets TV exposure, so the cost for the series for the year relatively speaking is quite low so sponsors are happy with that. |

Would you recommend the Fun Cup to other competitors? |
A: |
Yes, this is really fun. It lives up to its name, that’s why I’m in it for the second year. |
